Carpe diem...

car·pe di·em pronounced:ˌkärpā ˈdēˌem exclamation used to urge someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future.

I personally really love this phrase. Not because it's cliche. But because I use it as a reminder. Here lately I've been beyond stressed between Yearbook, Band/Color guard, my sophomore year coming up, church, and trying to manage to have a social life. I use this as a reminder to breathe and make the most out of life. I am a very busy person and sometimes I forget to be thankful to be alive and I honestly forget to thank God for my life and keeping me out of harm's way. I am a people-pleaser I guess you could say and it seems like I always agree to so much that I get myself stressed out. I need to take time for myself every once in a while and I forget to do that. I feel like everyone needs a break after a while and most people forget that. Treat yo self. It could honestly be only an hour out of the week or an entire day, either way take time to yourself a breathe. Turn off your phone, get your nails done, do some photography, lay in bed and watch Netflix all day: as long as you take time to yourself. Personally, I usually go running after a long day right before sunset and after my run, I sit on the hill or go to the park and just watch the sunset. I typically don't answer my phone whenever I do this unless it's my mom or dad. After all of that I go home and take a bubble bath and listen to The Beatles station on Pandora because it never fails to put me in a better mood. Do whatever makes you happy. Sorry for the super short blog post but I just wanted to get this out while I was thinking about it. Now, take some time to breathe and seize the day. Pray, be thankful, be happy, and live life to its fullest.

Courier New is a throwback font with a vintage feel. It’s great for storytelling, narratives and news reporting.
